QBE Country Week

QBE Country Week 2017

QBE Country Week is an annual country regional championship tournament organised by football west. Football West also used the matches to conduct talent identification for a Country Rep Development Program.
The 2017 tournament begins Monday the 25th September and finishes on Friday the 29th.
Broome is entering an U15s side for the second year running.

Travel and Accomodation

The squad travels to Perth on Sunday the 24th with Qantas.


Accommodation for this first night will be at Ern Halliday Reserve, Hillarys.


For the remainder of the tournament,  the squad will be based at Woodman Point.

The games are played at Beale Park in Spearwood, south of Fremantle.

Things to pack for the game day:
  • Uniform (socks, shirt and shorts)
  • Soccer Boots (in good enough condition to last the 9 games).
  • Shin pads(essential)
  • Sun Cream
Other things to pack:
  • Clothing and footwear for the week
  • Gold coins for the laundry
  • Hat
  • Any medications
  • Water Bottle
  • Towel
  • Bed sheet + blanket (or sleeping bag)
  • Pillow (optional but recommended

Dinner – Not sure yet. Possibly whatever can be foraged from the bin behind Hillary’s Coles. More likely Pizza.
