Meatworks launch 2015 Kit

FC Meatwork’s 2015 season shirts continue a long history of bold kits. The new shirt was launched last week in front of a curtain. The shirt is predominately ‘Coward Yellow‘ with a ‘That Will Need Antibiotics Pus Green‘ colour block across the chest. ‘Bloodblister Black‘ trim completes the design. The designer of the shirt, Carlos Carlos says the design for the shirt was inspired by a visit to his ill sister in Broome hospital.

When Meatworks stormed into the BLiga back in 2011, their original kit was striped ‘Wattle Gold‘ and ‘Burnt Scrub Black‘.

These colours symbolised ‘the regeneration of stuff – like bushland’. At the time, Meatworks were replacing BLiga founding club Hagan’s Heroes and a pyro had allegedly torched Minyarr Park.

For 2012 and 2013, Meatworks introduced their ‘Juicy Steak Red’ with ‘Soy Milk White’ trim. The Red not only acknowledged the club’s link to Broome’s former meat industry, but was an effort to gain any possible advantage . The white was to make sure vegans would not feel excluded.
