Hola, playa!

The Broome Soccer Association (BSA)  is the largest soccer association in the Kimberley region of Western Australia.

The BSA co-ordinates competitions for juniors (primary school aged children), youth (high school aged) and adults (grades for both men and women).

Registration occurs closer to the program start (normally June).

Youth Comps run in Term 1 & 4. Rep sides train through term 2 and 3 for Footballwest's Country week tournament in late September (traditionally 1st week of school holidays).

Older youth (15+) can also play in adult comps where suitable.

Adults 11s normally runs from late July through to early November.

Wet season competition (small sided) usually occurs between February and May.

As Football West states: As reported by the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission “Numerous deaths in Australia and internationally have been associated with unstable and heavy moveable soccer goals. In Australia there have been at least seven deaths and one incident resulting in the person becoming paraplegic. Unfortunately, the victims are often young children and teenagers.” We need you to support us too - you have until 4pm to email the shire at shire@broome.wa.gov.au. ... See MoreSee Less

As things stand there is no prospect of permanent soccer goals in Broome until 2026-2029. This is unacceptable for a sport with hundreds of local participants. In the first draft of the Shire of Broome Sport and Recreation Plan it rated permanent soccer goals as a high priority, however following a resolution by Cr M Fairborn and seconded by Cr H Tracey the need for permanent goals was changed to low priority. Broome needs permanent soccer goals. You have until 4pm Friday to stand up for soccer. Please take the time to send an email to shire@broome.wa.gov.au demanding that permanent soccer goals be reinstated as a high priority. ... See MoreSee Less
