Latest News 27/6/09 The Broome Soccer Association A-League Tipping Competition is now active. Check out the Committee Blog for more details. 23/6/09 Once a year, all of the schools in the Kimberley descend on Broome for the Kimberley Cup. Schools from Fitzroy Crossing to Wydham will compete in a number of sports over the course of 4 days. The Broome Soccer Association provides volunteers each year to help referee a few games. If you would like to help out by refereeing a game or two, please contact Ryan Platten at ryan.platten(at)det.wa.edu.au (where (at) is the @ symbol). The first two weeks of the Broome Soccer Association's social women's nights have been hailed as a success, with nearly thirty women participating at BRAC on Wednesdays. There is still room for more participants - so if you know of anyone, or are interested yourself, get down to BRAC on Wednesday's from 6pm for an enjoyable night of fitness, friends and football. 18/6/09 Broome Soccer Association President Mike Doyle is rumoured to be in Perth next week. The El Presidente's agenda is as yet unknown, but broomesoccer.com can theorise that after Real Madrid's signing of Cristiano Ronaldo last week, the President is the next big signing in their sights. It is unknown how much Los Blancos are prepared to offer Doyle's club Hagen's Heroes, but Heroes owner Pat Hagen is said to be 'determined' to keep Doyle at the Reds for next season. 18/6/09 Racing Guantanamo AFC announced today the re-signing of legendary goalkeeper Francois Kruger for the 2009 B-Liga season, which commences in August. This is the first official signing of any club in the new season and brings to an end months of rumours and hearsay that the South African would be leaving the Mighty Oranges to sign with rivals Hagen's Heroes. Guantanamo fans are said to be delighted at the inclusion of their favourite son in the squad for the new season. 18/5/09
